First US Airdate 9 December 1990 Episode 2.13
[Exterior shot of the blue sky as a falcon files overhead and screeches.]
The Falcon [voiceover]
Gold, Reyes. Think of it. You can search a very long time before
finding prey as good as. . .
[Exterior shot of the pueblo gate as a carriage drives into the plaza.]
The Falcon [voiceover]
The pueblo de Los Angeles. Its alcalde is corrupt. Its people
are ready to revolt.
[Closeup shot of a falcon sitting on a man's arm.]
The Falcon [off camera at first]
It's time for The Falcon to apply his skills.
[Exterior shot of a wagon sitting under an archway as two men sit in its seat. Two more men sit on horseback on either side of the wagon.]
The Falcon [as he strokes his falcon's feathers]
It is time. Return to the lair. Await my instructions.
Men on Horseback
Si.
[They turn their horses around and ride away.]
Reyes
And what about Zorro? He may become a problem.
The Falcon
Not if he's dead.
Reyes
You think it will be that easy?
The Falcon
With the right trap. The right bait, to lure him into that trap.
We can easily eliminate Zorro and all of Los Angeles will be ours to plunder.
[He motions with his right hand and Reyes whips up the horses and the wagon moves forward.]
[Interior shot of Ramón's office where Ramón sits at his desk looking at a pair of boots sitting on the desktop as another man stands to his right.]
Ramón [getting to his feet]
Beautiful. [He picks up one of the boots.] Absolutely beautiful. Four
hundred pesos, you say?
Man
Si, Alcalde.
[Ramón looks out the window then turns to the man and smiles evilly.]
Ramón
No problem. You'll have your money this afternoon.
[He rubs his gloved hand on the boot.]
[Closeup shot of coins being tossed onto a table. The camera pulls back to show Mendoza sitting behind the table set up in front of the cuartel while Victoria stands in front of him.]
Victoria [angrily]
Fine. But you have had your last free meal in my tavern.
Mendoza
Señorita Escalante, I am only following orders. These taxes
are mandated by law.
[Don Alejandro and Diego walk up behind Victoria as Ramón walks up beside Mendoza.]
Ramón
Is there a problem here, Sergeant?
Don Alejandro [angrily]
Yes, there is indeed. And it starts with you taking our money.
Ramón
Well, do you think a town runs by itself? Without taxes, Los Angeles
would not be the crown jewel that it is.
Victoria
And you would not wear such fine boots, Alcalde.
[Ramón looks down as his new boots.]
Don Alejandro
Yes. . . And what about that new school that we need. Or the
bridge to Santa Paula that was washed out.
Voices
Yeah! Yeah!
Ramón [in a low voice]
Be careful, de la Vega. Treason can be much more costly than taxes.
[Ramón and Don Alejandro glare at each other.]
Victoria
I, for one, would like an accounting of government spending in this pueblo.
[The Falcon and Reyes drive their wagon through the plaza. The Falcon carries his falcon on his left hand.]
Ramón [pointing angrily at Victoria]
What gives you the right to question my authority?
The Falcon [as Victoria is about to reply]
They are the people, Alcalde. [People turn to stare at him.] That gives
them every right they need.
[Diego gives The Falcon an assessing look.]
The Falcon [as he stands up in the wagon]
Citizens of Los Angeles, hear me! You have been taxed enough!
[He waves his hands at Reyes who reaches into a chest full of silver coins and starts tossing them out to the crowd.]
The Falcon
Come, my people. [People start scramble for the coins.] You deserve what
is rightfully yours.
[He waves at Reyes again. Reyes throws out more handfuls of coins.]
The Falcon
Come, my people. Come and take it. [Mendoza gets to his feet and goes
to stand next to Ramón.] It is your money. [More people run up
to pick up the coins.] Take it! Ha! Taxes! [People keep scrambling
for coins.] Take it all, my people.
[Ramón, Don Alejandro, and Diego all stare incredulously at the scene before them.]
*****COMMERCIAL BREAK*****
[Exterior shot of the plaza where people are still scrambling for the coins Reyes threw out.]
The Falcon [as a lancer climbs up onto his wagon]
Time has come for you to take charge of your own destiny.
[Diego looks away with a disgusted expression.]
Ramón [grabbing Mendoza's left arm]
Sergeant!
Mendoza
Si, mi Alcalde.
Ramón
Gather the men. Arrest him!
Mendoza
What for?
Ramón
For inciting a riot! For lunacy!
Mendoza [pointing to his left]
You heard the Alcalde! Arrest that man!
[Several lancers try to make their way to The Falcon's wagon but the people hold them back. The Falcon pushes the lancer off the wagon.]
Ramón [pointing at The Falcon]
You don't know the trouble you've brought upon yourself!
The Falcon
No price is too great to rid the land of your oppression.
[The crowd is pushing the lancers back away from The Falcon.]
Ramón [to Mendoza]
Fire a warning shot!
Mendoza
But Alcalde. . .
Ramón [as the crowd keeps surging backward]
Do as I said!
[Several lancers fire their muskets into the air. The crowd instantly quiets.]
The Falcon
The alcalde. . . would fire on his own people?
Don Alejandro
Now listen to me! Violence is not the answer!
The Falcon
Who should rule Los Angeles? The alcalde, or you, the people?
Voices
The people! The people!
[The crowd turns and rushes toward the cuartel.]
Ramón [to Mendoza]
Stop them!
Mendoza
Alcalde, the warning shot! They have to reload!
[The crowd pushes the lancers backward.]
Ramón [raising his right arm in the air]
To the cuartel!
[He turns and runs to the cuartel. Mendoza and the other lancers turn and run as well. They shut the cuartel gates just as the crowd rushes after them. Don Alejandro grabs Victoria and spins her out of the way. People start pushing against the gates. The Falcon raises his right fist and smiles. Diego look on with a grim expression then looks downward. He bends down and picks up one of the coins then examines it. He looks over at The Falcon who is smiling and stroking his falcon's feathers.]
[Exterior shot of the de la Vega hacienda.]
[Interior shot of the secret cave where Diego puts a white powder on a coin that sits on the lab table. He then pours a clear liquid on a second coin then pours it on the first coin which fizzes a white foam. Felipe stands to Diego's right, scratching his chest as he watches.]
Diego
Just as I thought. [He picks up both coins.] I want you to take a look at
both of these coins. [He wipes the coins with a cloth.] Tell me if you see
any difference between them. Both of them bear his Majesty's image.
[Diego puts both coins on the palm of his left hand and holds them up so Felipe can look at them.]
[Closeup shot of the two coins (one is shinier than the other).]
[Interior shot of the secret cave as Felipe shakes his head.]
Diego
You're right. There's no difference between them. Looks can
be deceiving.
[Closeup shot of Diego's finger pointing to the coin on the right.]
Diego
This is a coin in my pocket.
[He points his finger to the coin on the left.]
Diego
This I picked up in the plaza.
[Interior shot of the secret cave as Felipe stares at the two coins.]
Diego
The silver in his Majesty's coin contains nickel as a hardening agent. [He
points at the other coin.] The coin from the plaza is nickel laced with lead.
Now, the only place where such impure nickel can be found is Guadalajara.
[Felipe draws a square in the air with both index fingers then points toward Diego.]
Diego
Exactly. Guadalajara. Where the government bank was robbed last
month.
[He tips his head then he and Felipe turn to leave the cave. Felipe stops to look out the viewing hole then they continue on their way.]
[Exterior shot of the plaza as The Falcon, carrying his bird on his left arm, walks around with Reyes.]
The Falcon [to Reyes]
Do exactly what I say. [He smiles and extends his hand to a man who walks
up to him.] Oh, yes. Hello. Good morning.
Don Alejandro [as he rides into the plaza]
Falcon!
The Falcon [to Reyes]
This could be trouble, Reyes.
Don Alejandro [as he dismounts]
I'd like a word with you right now.
The Falcon
Ah, Don Alejandro de la Vega, isn't it? [He extends his right hand to Don
Alejandro.] The people hold you in great esteem.
[Don Alejandro knocks The Falcon's hand away.]
Don Alejandro
I demand that you stop this madness.
The Falcon
Stop? Stop the wheels of freedom?
Don Alejandro
Yes, before they roll over innocent people and someone gets hurt.
[The Falcon walks over to his left, followed by Reyes and Don Alejandro.]
The Falcon [turning to face Don Alejandro]
Señor, we live in a time of great. . .struggle. All of us are
called upon to. . .take a stand. [He picks up a head of cabbage from a nearby
market stall and holds it up.] You are either for us or [He tosses the cabbage
into a basket.] you're against us. What's it to be?
Don Alejandro
This is insane.
The Falcon
I take it you are against us.
Don Alejandro
No, I am against this. And the governor will be too.
[He turns and walks over to his horse.]
The Falcon [as Don Alejandro rides away]
A respected caballero. A leader of the community. You know,
Reyes, [He turns and picks up a very large knife.] I believe I found my bait
for. . .Zorro!
[He cuts a head of cabbage in half with the knife.]
[Exterior night shot of the de la Vega hacienda.]
[Interior shot of the de la Vega hacienda as Don Alejandro sits behind a desk, writing a letter with a quill.]
[Closeup shot of a falcon sitting on The Falcon's left arm as they walk forward.]
The Falcon
Buenas noches, Señor.
[Interior shot of the hacienda as Don Alejandro looks up in surprise. He then lifts up the desk and pushes it at The Falcon and Reyes.]
Don Alejandro
Aah!
[Reyes is knocked backward, landing on a settee. Don Alejandro takes a step toward Reyes, but The Falcon chops his right hand down on Don Alejandro's neck and Don Alejandro falls to the floor. Reyes gets up off the settee and bends down, picking up the letter Don Alejandro was writing.]
The Falcon
Reyes, hand me that letter!
[Reyes gives the letter to The Falcon.]
The Falcon [as he looks at the letter while Don Alejandro struggles to
get up off the floor]
Ah. Well, well. I don't think the governor need be bothered
with this.
Don Alejandro [on his knees]
What do you want from me?
The Falcon [laughing as he crumples up the letter]
You, to help me kill Zorro.
Don Alejandro
How? By kidnapping me? [He gets to his feet, holding the back of his
neck.] You really thing he's going to fall for one of your stupid traps?
[The Falcon holds up a sealed envelope.]
The Falcon
Hmm. . . I'm sure your son. . .hmm. . .will get this into the right
hands.
Reyes [to Don Alejandro]
Now get up!
[Don Alejandro glares at The Falcon, who just laughs.]
*****COMMERCIAL BREAK*****
[Closeup shot of an envelope stuck with a knife to the upturned desk. The camera pulls back as Diego bends down and pulls out the knife then looks at the envelope.]
Diego
It's addressed to Zorro.
[Felipe stands to Diego's right as Diego stands up.]
Diego
They knew I would do all I could to get this to him. [He opens the envelope
then unfolds the note inside.] They've got my father. Zorro rides!
[He tosses aside the envelope but takes the note with him as he and Felipe walk toward the fireplace in the library. Diego touches the mantle then he and Felipe duck through the opened panel.]
[Exterior day shot of the countryside as Zorro and Toronado ride slowly through the rocks and bushes. Zorro looks down at the ground.]
Zorro [voiceover]
As if they've vanished into thin air.
[He urges Toronado forward. Overhead a bird screeches. Zorro looks up and sees a falcon.]
Zorro [voiceover]
Of course. Where would a falcon take its prey? To its lair.
[Zorro rides up a hillside to his right.]
[Exterior shot of the plaza where a crowd has gathered around the fountain listening to The Falcon. Reyes is there as well as the other two minions on horseback.]
The Falcon
The alcalde lives in the comfort and luxury that you, you have earned.
[Exterior shot of the cuartel yard where Mendoza and two other lancers peek through the cuartel gates.]
Mendoza [turning around]
Alcalde! Alcalde!
[Ramón steps out into the yard, about to slide his sword into its scabbard.]
Mendoza
I think you should come take a look at this!
Ramón [putting away his sword]
What is it, Mendoza? [He walks up to the gates.]
The Falcon [off camera]
He reaps the reward of your hard work. Your blood and your sweat.
[Shot from Ramón and Mendoza's point of view of The Falcon talking to the people around the fountain.]
The Falcon
And what does he give you in return? [He bends down and grabs a handful
of dirt then stands up, letting the dirt slip through his fingers.] Nothing!
This liberty's sweet indeed. And it is yours forever! Ah!
Ha!
[People start cheering and raising their fists in the air.]
The Falcon
Join me, my people! I promise you liberty! Now! Now!
[Exterior shot of the cuartel yard where Ramón and Mendoza stand in front of the gates.]
Ramón [to Mendoza]
Issue two muskets to each man. Extra powder and shot.
Mendoza
Si, mi Alcalde.
Ramón [as he eyes the crowd through the gate]
That mob may try to break in here.
[Ramón and Mendoza walk away from the gate. Two other lancers take their place looking through the crack between the gate doors.]
[Exterior shot of the countryside as Zorro rides Toronado up a small hillside. Zorro then dismounts then walks toward a small cave.]
[Exterior shot of the plaza.]
The Falcon
This is your destiny! The time to act is now!
[He raises his arms into the air. The people start cheering and raising their fists.]
The Falcon
Now! Now! Ha! Ha! Ha!
[The people move to their right and pick up a large wooden post then head straight for the cuartel gate. Ramón and Mendoza close the gates just as the people ram the post into them.]
Ramón
Barricade the gate!
[Several soldiers push a cart up to the gates.]
[Interior shot of the cave as Zorro cautiously walks inside. He reacts when he sees a bound and gagged Don Alejandro sitting in an alcove. Zorro then looks up and follows a rope that is tied to a beam supporting a board piled with rocks. The rope goes over to a lantern where there is a lighted candle then over to a post then over to Don Alejandro's tied hands.]
Zorro
Yes, looks can be deceiving.
[He picks up a piece of wood and uses it to brace the board. He takes out his dagger and taps the rope behind Don Alejandro with it. Rumbling is heard overhead as dust pours downward.]
Zorro
Stay perfect still, Señor. Don't move.
[He stands up and reaches for the candle. He slowly crouches down and holds the candle's flame to the rope.]
[Exterior shot of the plaza where the crowd is out of control. People keep ramming the post into the cuartel gates as The Falcon watches with a smug smile.]
[Exterior shot of the cuartel yard.]
Ramón [pushing a lancer forward]
Fight to the last man!
[The lancer stumbles over to the gates where the rest of the soldiers wait with their muskets.]
Mendoza [drawing out his sword]
Form defense formations!
[Half of the lancers get down on one knee, their muskets aimed at the gates. A second line forms behind the them, also aiming their muskets at the gates.]
[Exterior shot of the plaza where the people ram the post into the gates.]
[Exterior shot of the cuartel yard where the lancers move a step backward.]
[Exterior shot of the plaza where the people keep pounding the gate with the post.]
[Exterior shot of the cuartel yard where the lancers take another step back.]
Mendoza
Hold the line!
[Exterior shot of the plaza where the people ram the gates again.]
[Exterior shot of the cuartel yard as the lancers take yet another step backward.]
[Interior shot of the cave where Don Alejandro sits with his eyes closed as Zorro burns through the rope with the candle.]
Zorro
Now when I cut through the rope, we'll need to move very swiftly, and carefully.
[Don Alejandro opens his eyes to give Zorro a confused look.]
Zorro
The slightest vibration. . . [The flame burns through the rope.] We're there.
Now!
[Zorro cuts the rope next to Don Alejandro's hands with his dagger. Zorro pulls Don Alejandro out of the alcove and down onto the ground. The post holding the board of rocks snaps and the rocks come pouring down. Zorro gets to his feet then helps up Don Alejandro.]
Don Alejandro [after removing the gag from his mouth]
You saved my life. And almost lost your own.
Zorro
A trade I'd gladly make, Señor.
[Zorro starts to lead Don Alejandro out of the cave.]
Don Alejandro [swaying dizzily]
Whoa! [He stops.] I almost forgot. [He places his hand on a chest.] The
stolen silver.
Zorro
Obviously, The Falcon didn't think we'd live to take it. I think we'll
let Sergeant Mendoza be the hero.
[Don Alejandro nods and smiles.]
Zorro
He has men with strong backs. Come on.
[Interior shot of Ramón's office as Ramón frantically empties the contents of his wall safe into a pair of saddlebags as people yell outside. Ramón opens the main safe and starts stuffing its contents into the saddlebags.]
[Exterior shot of the cuartel gate as the people keep battering it with the wooden post. They smash into the gate one last time and the gates give way. The people are faced with the lancers aiming their muskets at them. Both sides just stare at each other.]
The Falcon [at the back of the crowd]
Rush them! They can't shoot all of us! We have them outnumbered!
Don Alejandro [walking up to The Falcon's right]
Wrong, Falcon! These people of Los Angeles have you outnumbered!
[Interior shot of Ramón's office as Ramón runs across the room carrying the saddlebags. The door leading to the jail opens and Zorro steps inside the office.]
Zorro
An interesting time to start a journey, Alcalde.
Ramón [as Zorro takes the saddlebags from him]
Wait a minute!
[Zorro opens the saddlebags and looks inside.]
Zorro
Shame on you!
Ramón [trying to grab the saddlebags from Zorro]
Give it to me!
Zorro [with a mischievous smile]
This really is for your own good, Alcalde.
[He punches Ramón in the face with a right hook. Ramón slides across his desk and lands on the floor behind it.]
Zorro
Although I must admit, I did enjoy that.
[He turns and goes back into the jail, closing the door behind him.]
[Exterior shot of the cuartel gates.]
Don Alejandro
This man would sacrifice all of you for his own greed!
The Falcon
Ally of the alcalde. [He points at Don Alejandro.] You're a liar!
Zorro [off camera at first]
You are the liar, Falcon!
[Zorro rides Toronado into the plaza.]
Zorro
Two can play this game. [He holds up the saddlebags as he brings Toronado
to a halt.] My good people, I have the solution to all our problems.
Don't follow The Falcon! Follow me!
[He dumps the contents of the saddlebags onto the ground. One man starts to reach for the money but members of the crowd pull him back.]
Zorro
Their own gold is certainly worth more than The Falcon's silver.
The Falcon [as the crowd begins to grow restless again]
Pay him no heed! You cannot be bought!
Zorro [as Toronado prances nervously]
Precisely! The silver The Falcon gave you was stolen from poor people
just like you in Guadalajara. This is some of the money you've been
forced to pay so the Alcalde might have his new boots!
[Ramón comes staggering out of his office, holding his nose.]
Zorro
So what will it be? Will you be bought?
Voice
No! No!
The Falcon [to his minions]
Kill him!
[Don Alejandro and a lancer grab Reyes as other lancers go after the two men on horseback.]
Ramón
Stop them!
[The Falcon runs off to his left and climbs up on a box next to the cuartel wall. He takes the hood off his falcon and lets it fly away. He then climbs up onto the roof of the cuartel. Zorro rides Toronado over to the cuartel wall and climbs up onto the roof after The Falcon.]
The Falcon [stopping and turning to face Zorro]
So you think you've got me? [He reaches into his pocket.] [Sarcastically.]
I guess I should just give up.
[He throws a dagger at Zorro who dodges to his left. The dagger sticks into the ground between Ramón's new boots. The Falcon takes off his cape as he gets to his feet. Zorro stands up, saber drawn. The Falcon throws his cape at Zorro who ducks and it goes over his head. Ramón pulls the dagger out of the ground then looks up at the roof. The Falcon climbs near the top of the roof then draws out his sword.]
Zorro
There are no more tricks to be played.
[He unsheathes his saber and they start dueling. The Falcon lunges at Zorro, but Zorro grabs the Falcon's right wrist.]
Zorro
We're alone now. Let's see if that's enough.
[He pushes The Falcon away. They resume their duel. Zorro parries a thrust that makes The Falcon lose his footing.]
Zorro
You call yourself The Falcon. Let's see if you can fly..
[He pushes The Falcon in the chest with his left index finger.]
The Falcon
Aaah!
[He falls off the roof, breaking through the thatched porch roof, then to the ground. Zorro salutes with his saver then whistles. Toronado whinnies off camera.]
Ramón [pointing the dagger at The Falcon]
Put this man in irons!
[Two lancers and Mendoza walk over to where The Falcon is sitting on the ground. The lancers each grab one of The Falcon's arms.]
Ramón [addressing the crowd]
And I want the names of each and every one of you who supported this traitor!
[He jabs the dagger in front of himself as the two lancers drag The Falcon away.]
Zorro [off camera at first]
That might not be so wise, Alcalde! [Zorro rides up on Toronado.] After
all, your own greed was the cause of all this.
Ramón
Indeed. How dare you? I only have the best interest of my pueblo
at heart.
Zorro [sarcastically]
Really? Why don't you sit down and think about that?
[He lashes out with his whip and it wraps around Ramón's calves and knocks him onto his behind.]
Ramón
Hey!
[People start laughing as Zorro whips off Ramón's left boot then holds it up.]
Zorro
Such extravagance in the face of your people's poverty.
[He tucks the boot into his lap then whips off Ramón's other boot.]
Ramón [on his back pointing at Zorro]
You're nothing but a thief!
Zorro
I could never fill your shoes, Alcalde. I'm merely going to return
these to your boot maker.
[Zorro starts to ride off as Ramón glares at him.]
Zorro [bringing Toronado to a halt]
By the way, there's an interesting strongbox up on Chielo Ridge. [He holds
the boots up into the air.] Adios!
[He turns and rides out of the pueblo as people cheer.]
Ramón [trying to get to his feet]
After him!
[Four lancers with muskets run after Zorro. Mendoza goes over and helps Ramón get up.]
Ramón [as he walks in his stocking feet to the cuartel]
Ooh! Aah! Ooh! [He stubs his left foot on the wooden post lying
in front of the cuartel gates.] Aah! [He grabs his left foot and hops on his
right, then puts down his left foot and kicks the wooden post with his right
foot.] Aah!
[He grabs his right foot and hops around on his left foot then slides down against one of the gates to the ground.]
Ramón
Aah!
[Mendoza starts to laugh but stops by bringing his fist up to his mouth.]
*****COMMERCIAL BREAK*****
[Exterior shot of the plaza as Victoria carries a leather pouch that people put coins into it.]
Victoria
Gracias. [She holds out the pouch to a man.] For the people of Guadalajara.
[The man puts a coin into the pouch.] Thank you.
[She walks up to Diego and Don Alejandro. Diego holds up both of his hands then reaches his right hand toward Victoria's left ear. He flips his fingers and produces a coin which he then hands to her.]
Victoria [giggling]
Thank you.
[She walks away to her left. Diego and Don Alejandro walk into the plaza.]
Don Alejandro
You're very clever, son.
[They walk up to the cuartel, past a caged wagon holding The Falcon's minions.]
Don Alejandro
Oh, dear.
[Ramón is standing in front of his office, wincing in pain.]
Don Alejandro
That toe. . . [He looks down at Ramón's heavily wrapped right foot.]
looks so painful, Alcalde.
Ramón [through clenched teeth]
It's nothing compared to the pain Zorro will feel when Mendoza brings him
back.
Diego [pointing to his right]
All those chains? [Two lancers are leading The Falcon to the caged wagon.]
This Falcon must be a pretty dangerous fellow.
Ramón
There is nothing more dangerous than a traitor.
Mendoza [off camera at first]
Alcalde!
[Mendoza and two lancers drive a wagon into the plaza followed by two more lancers on horseback.]
Mendoza [as the wagon nears the cuartel]
Alcalde! We chased Zorro way into the mountains. Up by the outlaws'
hideout on Chielo Ridge.
Ramón [angrily]
Don't tell me he got away again!
Diego [sarcastically to Don Alejandro]
Incredible.
Mendoza
Yes, but as Zorro said, we did find this.
[He points to a large wooden chest in the wagon bed.]
Mendoza
The stolen treasure from Guadalajara.
Ramón [clearing his throat]
I'll have to impound it, of course.
Don Alejandro
Why?
Ramón
To give it a proper accounting! Remember he gave a great deal of it
away.
Victoria [off camera at first]
Si, Alcalde, but every centavo of that money is here. [She walks up beside
Don Alejandro with the pouch as Diego climbs up onto the wagon.] Returned
by the people of Los Angeles.
[She tosses the pouch to Diego who opens the lid of the chest and puts the pouch inside.]
Ramón [sneering]
How generous. Put the box in my office. I'll give it my first
priority.
Diego
Alcalde, I think you'd better return this money to its rightful owners immediately.
Ramón
What are you talking about?
[Diego lifts of the lid of the chest to reveal a ‘Z' slashed inside the lid. Ramón stares at it.]
Ramón
Mendoza, take a platoon of men. Return the money to once to Guadalajara.
Mendoza [saluting]
Si, mi Alcalde. [Diego jumps off the wagon.] Vamanos!
[The wagon drives away as Ramón glares then hobbles back to his office. Diego, Don Alejandro, and Victoria all smile as they watch the wagon, the lancers, and the prisoners drive away. Off camera, a falcon screeches. Diego, Don Alejandro, and Victoria all look up to see The Falcon's bird flying above them.]
